His message is, we have it very very good here in the USA. We have won the lottery of the historical human condition. And, if we don't work at preserving it, the beast of human nature will be free and wild again, and we will lose this wonderful experiment.

I have always thought Trump ruled with vitriol and did not like hearing dissent.

I wish he would have been open to hearing dissent, especially from Mattis. Bush II kept some dissenters. Obama did not.
