In all fairness, they are in California which was never under Scottish rule... Or was that England? Well, it doesn't really matter because there was no California when Warren G. Harding signed the Magna Carta.

1982 - 1985 at Fort Myer, VA as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard. July 4th on the National Mall was great for us. It was a time when patriotism was rising and we stood out like sore thumbs with our haircut.
The Mall was always packed with people on the holiday. We couldn't walk 100 feet without getting an invitation for food, beer, water, etc. Families, veterans, groups of college age people. All kinds. It was a great time and place to be a soldier.
