"Stress cards"? We jokingly referred to "TS" cards that could be taken to the chaplain to be "punched". "Drugs"? I heard that one the first day at the Reception Center at Fort Jackson: "Don't eat the food. It's laced with saltpeter to stifle our sex drive." Apparently "salt" and "peter" combined in one word related to the myth of putting salt on the tail of a bird to keep it from flying. "Mattel made parts of the M-16"? In Vietnam, I heard it said that the whole weapon was a product from Mattel. "Hollywood doesn't get the uniforms right?" I never paid attention to that. I was too angry about all the sloppy salutes that actors made. "Starbucks doesn't support the troops?" Hell, that would only be fair. I don't support Starbucks. Can't stand their swill.
