As a project leader, I'm responsible for the team I choose. I agree that these five reasons CAN be (and frequently ARE) valid concerns. I also know that each of these is a STRENGTH if they are used (guided?) by the Vet's supervisor. I'd rather have someone who can be trained to do the job MY way, than some whiz-kid who knows only the university way.
