Good article! Agree. When I interviewed people in the private or public sector, I was trying to answer two questions:
1. Can the person do the job?
2. Will the person fit in (with team, organization, customers)?

A failure on first point was an automatic non-select. Failure on the second question required me to think about the person's value on question 1. If not exceptional, non-select.
