5 Weapons You Can Legally Own In The United States

Forget the guns. These weapons are way more terrifying.
These days, it seems you can’t get away from news about gun control or the National Rifle Association if you happen to be a frequent surfer of the internet. With all the talk about whether or not we should limit access to firearms, it seems that discussion of all other weapons has fallen by the wayside.

What is Legal to Own in Texas:
It is legal to own throwing stars or any type of throwing knife, but they can't be on your person.
It is legal to own dirks, daggers, stilettos, and other stabbing knives, but they cannot be on your person.
It is legal to own a Bowie knife, but it can't be on your person.
It is legal to own a sword or spear, but it cannot be on your person.
It is legal to own a switchblade knife. As long as it's not over 5-1/2", this knife can be carried.
It is legal to own a pocketknife. As long as it's not over 5-1/2", this knife can be carried.
It is legal to own a Balisong, or butterfly knife, but they cannot be on your person.
So, my point is, just because it's legal to own, it may not be able to be carried on your person.
