Before you get all giddy thinking something is amiss, does this account for the fact that President Trump himself stayed at Turnberry during his visit to Scotland in June? The reason I mention this is because prior to and during a Presidential visit, White House Communications Agency (mostly run by the military) sends teams to those locations to set up the communications for the President and his staff. This would require potentially rooms for the communications team and the aircrew which took them there, a command center, and then some. All potentially using DoD funds. I never worked at WHCA so I can't speak to how the money is allocated, but maybe someone on here who has and knows the budgetary process can chime in. It wouldn't be DTS most likely as these trips would be kept confidential for OPSEC reasons.

Personally, I want to see the actual pentagon report before I put faith in the words of Reps Cummings and Raskin. All I see is the letter by those two with a footnote link for the report, which does not come up. What I do not want to see is yet another game of shenanigans by the Reps who might already know this information, all for the sake of trying to criticize the President.

Your question is interesting and certainly deserves further investigation.

I want to know if there exists a cost advantage or disadvantage of Air Force crews staying in Trumps resort considering there is a disparity of fuel prices.
