I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and saying it's a money move, them focusing on military contracts. Then when they innovative their civilian line up of rifles they'll push back into the civilian market. Them announcing it at all, and more importantly when they did is suspicious to most on the 2A side. I knew the anti gunners were going to swoop in and take credit

CW5 Jack Cardwell I knew they lost US contracts to FN, I was under the impression that these new military contracts are for some Euro, Middle Eastern, and African partner and ally militaries.

No big loss. The only Colt AR I ever would have bought was an old SP-1, priced WELL under market pricing, which I called an old Vietnam vet buddy of mine on to give him first dibs. He had never shot an AR or M-16, he was there early and used a Garand I believe. He asked me if I thought he should buy and I replied, that's why I called you, if you don't, I will. He bought it and he and his wife both enjoyed it. After, of coarse, I taught him how to tear it down and clean it properly. He passed a few years ago, I miss 'ol Slim.
