This is really getting exciting now that the Democrats this is really getting exciting now that the Democrats have to allow a house vote. They don't want it because they don't want the Republicans to have subpoena power. This is actually getting really exciting.

LTC David Brown - It's not quite that simple. Yes, if the House votes for a formal impeachment inquiry, then the Chair and the Ranking Member may "jointly" issue subpoenas. If either one disagree, then the other may issue the subpoena on their own UNLESS the one disagreeing requests a vote of the committee. What this works out to is that the Democratic Chair still controls the subpoenas. If the GOP Ranking Member wants a subpoena why the Chair objects to, he just takes it to the full committee for a vote, and the Dems tell the Republicans that they can't have it.

Trump is trolling. He loves to get the media and Democrats all fired up. It is fun to watch unfold. Trump now says the White House will not cooperate with subpoenas involving impeachment until the House hold a formal vote to investigate impeachment . We will see how it goes.
