Have you ever seen a junior enlisted force to provide his own medical to stay attached to a guided missile frigate? I was in the reserves. My command forced me to get a lot of dental fillings that all have fallen out. They said I had to be ready for deployment at sea for extended periods and needed this dental work. I had no medical insurance to monitor maintain them. I soon became homeless jobless. One must know shortly before this 1999 dental issue, 1998 my Navy Army transfer was medically disqualified by a MEPS permanent profile. I was completely broke 22 year old with a annual salary of 5k annual average to survive ready for war 24/7 assigned to a Guided Missle frigate. Has any other sailor had to provide his own medical coverage insurance in this situation assigned so an actual ship with a below poverty income? Lastly i found out my dad a Army Veteran 11 LIB 66-68 Jungle Warrior reunited in 2005 a few years after I finished my enlistment. He is now with God RIP. I waS the son of the real deal jungle warrior. I had no father figure to figure my life out. The ship said do this with no health insurance and guess what half my teeth have fallen out, as all the dental fillings my command made me get have fallen out abscessed over the years with no medical coverage to monitor them. And then I found out they all had mercury in them. I have been in a 5150 a few times. honor pride dignity!!! The American Dream!!!


The VA fought me for years said I did not have enough active duty time.

They said that I had only inactive duty and active duty training on that ship for 5 years.

What Navy Sailor considers part time and no health insurance starting 18 assigned to a guided missle frigate inactive and well training??? Training??
