Readers praise the colonel who gave testimony before Congress as a patriot and hero.
"I read Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman’s opening statement before the House Committees on Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and Oversight. Can there be a more overwhelmingly compelling statement of what happened between Ukrainian and American officials?
Colonel Vindman came to this country at age 3 from Ukraine. He wanted nothing more than to serve the United States, and he has in myriad ways. He states that he is — and certainly sounds — utterly nonpartisan.
During a July 10 meeting with Oleksandr Danylyuk, a senior government official from Ukraine, Gordon Sondland, ambassador to the European Union, talked about the need to deliver “specific investigations” in order to secure a meeting with President Trump.
After that meeting, according to Colonel Vindman’s testimony, “I stated to Amb. Sondland that his statements were inappropriate, that the request to investigate Biden and his son had nothing to do with national security, and that such investigations were not something the N.S.C. was going to get involved in or push.” "
"If a young person wonders whether his government can be trusted, if a dispirited citizen is unsure her country is worth loving, if an immigrant asks what America stands for, they have only to look at the photograph of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman going to testify in the Capitol to know the answer.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel AND, if his testimony went the other way, CNN, MSMBC, and the left wing media would have called him a racist, a bigot, and an un-American, Trump supporter. Take a step down off the soap box and see this issue for what it is, a further attempt to assassinate the character of a sitting President that is unprecedented in its vitriol and mean spirited nature. I can tell you unequivocally that the right did not go to these extremes to invent reasons to try to oust a president with either Bill Clinton or our former "community organizer in chief". The party on the left has done NOT ONE Thing related to their job of running a country since the election ended and they still refuse to do the peoples business. They are obsessed with their hatred for our sitting President. It is shameful and I hold accountable anyone who supports these POS, so called "politicians".

LTC Joe Anderson (Taz or Joe since I - Thank you for the clarification sir. To be clear and up front, I ONLY block people who engage in inappropriate personal attacks. I freely maintain contacts with people across the political, social, and economic spectrum. In fact, I encourage debate and witty repartee', I do not always agree with my contacts, but I respect their opinions and friendship. I only block people when they become abusive or begin using expletives in a derogatory manner aimed at other forum members or myself like Capt. Prickett. I do not stoop to that level as it is a sign of limited education, class, and character. I also do not have any social media other than RallyPoint (the only one I use regularly) and Instagram (only 7 followers/followed and they are family).
