Very good article, and Professor Epps succinctly points out how the religious right, in their efforts to gain power, to appoint the judges that they want, to get the policies of exclusion and hate, have sold their soul to what they have preached against for decades.

Why wasn’t this posted under humor? I got my first laugh of the day. Kavanaugh? Really? I can understand how some view Trump. Good grief, was Hillary an iota better? Hillary was responsible for a group in her husband’s election campaigns that slandered, and threatened women who came forward after her husband harassed or assaulted them. Funny no mention of that. As a Christian I know that all mankind is sinful. We have all fallen short. So let’s be a little bit, just a tiny bit honest and understand the choice we faced. The only person with momentum on the Democratic side today is Warren. Warren wants universal health care. Yet there are not enough providers of health care to that many, not enough institutions to provide health care to that many and lastly not enough money. Is any one on the left honest about it? Hahaha. I woke in the forrest after Obama care! 6 million lost their insurance, millions more couldn’t afford their insurance and millions more struggled to keep their insurance.

LTC David Brown I stopped finding this funny a long time ago. Half the nation taken in by a flim-flam man and throwing away any pretense at ethics and morality. People who will believe anything as long as it supports their worldview: for example deep state conspiracies? ... if that's what it takes to keep believen' no problem.
That's why the number of uninsured before and after Obamacare is an easily verifyable number but still people believe what they want to believe such as talking about people switching jobs or getting a different employer provided plan as being people who "lost insurance." In some cases people do it cynically and rhetorically. The scarier ones are the ones who believe it simply because it's what they want to believe and don't care about facts.
