PO1 James McWilliams - Why r u being a jerk? Were you born that way or raised that way? lol

So tell me why did the GOP senators started with he was rail roaded, to he did not break the law, to he broke the law but its not an impeachable offense, to impeachement is a bad precedent, to whatever he did he did it for the country, to a constant no witnesses?

Unless by some miracle a whole slew of Senators flip on this, the Republicans are not going to lose the impeachment fight.
Plenty of chapters left in this saga before a vote happens, though.

Yeah, Pelosi wasn't going to get enough Dems for an impeachment inquiry, either...

Just out of curiosity, if the Republicans want and open and transparent process, with the President's counsel able to be present and assist in his defense, then why did all of the Republicans vote against that?

Capt Gregory Prickett - Probably because they would have to get "mother may I" permission from Schiff if they wanted to call witnesses.
And for the record, Pelosi doesn't have the votes until they hold a vote on Articles of Impeachment. Looks like she's got enough now, but we'll see.

I'm pretty sure Trump will be impeached, but I doubt he'll be removed from office.
A real predicament is that more republicans get out and vote than democrats.
Democrats talk a lot about voting, and the younger generation get on twitter and facebook and complain non stop. Unfortunately, when election time comes, they just don't go vote.
How do we get people to understand the need to vote?

SPC Stewart Smith - I think that when it comes to democrats that if you have a positive message that lifts people up, voters will follow you. That was President Obama's theme. It was Bill Clinton's as well. That is not what they are selling this time, and it will torpedo them if they don't figure it out. You can't just preach DOOM all the time and expect people to follow you. (ie the world is going to end in 11 years! America is destroying itself!)
It is more than just voter turn out. You have to have a plan (some do) that makes sense (more rare) and can be done (now we've lost them all).
The thing is, Dems are promoting plans that cost trillions of dollars that they can't possibly pass Congress for what? They do realize that in promoting these plans they are alienating the exact parts of the country that they need to convince, don't they?
