Capt Gregory Prickett - She wasn't aware of the text as it was sent during the session. The only reason she learned of it during her testimony was Schiff read it to her. Try to keep up Greg. I know you are more interested in trying to sound all "legal professional" for some here. Those of us that have been around for a while know your batting average. It isn't good.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - I actually get a kick out of Jeffy. He's tried on numerous occasions to explain the law to me here on RP, and he's been wrong most of the time.

Once again:
USC § 1512(b)(1) "Whoever knowingly uses intimidation, threatens, or corruptly persuades another person, or attempts to do so, or engages in misleading conduct toward another person, with intent to—(1) influence, delay, or prevent the testimony of any person in an official proceeding;" commits an offense punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
- Nope There was no influence, no delay, and the testimony took place. Again, she wouldn't have even known about it until after the session had Schiff not brought it up.
As for Amb Yovanovitch feeling intimidated, I'm sorry but I have to call BS on that one as well. She has been a diplomat since 1986, and has served in some very high stakes locations throughout her service. Now she's going to say a President speaking his mind about his perception of her incompetence is intimidating? Come on... This is another reach and you know it.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin - Trump doesn't have to be successful in his use of intimidation, assuming that you are correct and that Yovanovitch doesn't know if she felt intimidated or not.
Like it or not, this was a clear-cut violation of the statute.

I was told powerful people can be vindictive assholes. He is doing a good job acting like an asshole to include the Republican party.

Here is something a GOPer said: "This is a very serious matter when we're talking about impeachment. This a constitutional matter. It's not about tweets," she said.
