Yes, I know. There are a lot of people here who are going to exclaim, "The Washington Post!? That liberal rag!?" But the fact of the matter is they do accurate reporting. The title of this article may not show up on this site, but it is titled "Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian foreign minister and ambassador". Yes, he as POTUS can do anything and as article states, "has broad authority to declassify government secrets, making it unlikely that his disclosures broke the law."
I guess the Russian government is "friends" now with the USA.

"The president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation. At no time -- at no time were intelligence sources or methods discussed. And the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known. Two other senior officials who were present, including the secretary of State, remember the meeting the same way and have said so."

The White House on Monday afternoon pushed back sharply on reports that President Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian officials during a meeting last week.
