This is against our Constitution and all of us should fight it should it ever be recommended.

Don’t agree. I do fear that when people are willing to ban everyone from a certain religion from entering the country, it isn’t a big leap to go down that path. Especially if it is part of partisan politics. These days it seems like most people only care about their team winning.

Banning people from coming from a hostile nation is completely separate of the Constitution. Those foreign nationals have no 1st Amendment rights. For the record, the countries Trump wanted to ban included a Christian nation.

I seem to recall a Muslim ban that the courts didn’t allow. And the travel ban is what could get through.

MAJ Byron Oyler I admire your optimism, but the Constitution and it's values have been less than an afterthought for awhile now. I agree that we should absolutely fight it, but, even looking around this website - in theory, full of people who "Support and Defend the Constitution," - I can point to more than a handful of people who would willingly and happily physically assault others for exercising their First Amendment rights if they don't agree - and that's just based on their own, voluntary, admittance to it.

While unfortunate, the few of that religion that have perpetuated terroristic acts against several nations is getting their just rewards. Maybe policing themselves might turn how people think about them around..

Same reason we cannot win in Afghanistan, these folks like their lifestyles and self policing is unlikely.

SSG Steven Mangus Can you elaborate on how this would be "just rewards" for the vast majority of Muslims who haven't done anything wrong?
