Why would the Pentagon try to screw SMs and families in regards to GI Bill transfers? Because they want to divest in that program to invest to another program?

They're not screwing them, they've had over a decade to transfer their GI Bill.
What happens is that Soldiers transfer their GI Bill when they have 17 or 18 years in service, then put in their retirement at 20 years and cry foul when they find they still owe 1-2 more years for the 4 year ADSO/SRR for the transfer. Then they file a congressional complaint saying its unfair they can't retire because they owe more time for their transfer, even though they could have done the transfer any time in the last decade and the information is right on the transfer request before you submit it.

SFC (Join to see) - I could have been screwed because I did not know any of the limitations of the program, but was lucky I could sign up for it on my 20th year. SFC Boyd I hope you and your family experience a Merry Christmas.
