Yea, it's definitely racist, but I'm not sure it's proof of racism specifically targeting native Americans. I mean, how do the victims know that the perpetrators knew they were native Americans? It sounds to me more like the the perpetrators thought the victims were foreigners.

No, I don't think they were targeting Native Americans, in many ways it's much worse than that. They were targeting people who were not white and didn't really care about what "group" they belonged to, just that they were not white.

If anything they should be telling people like me to go back to where I came from. But to be fair, where I came from and where they came from is here. But the author is right, what this is really about is some white people telling non-white people, "we don't want you here."
