In 2019, the Mississippi crested at its highest-ever recorded level in Davenport, Iowa, causing widespread damage in the city's downtown and reigniting a debate about how it should protect itself. We built towns on flood plains. Definitely was going to cause a problem

I was born and raised in Davenport IA. My nephew worked at Peterson Paper(shown in the picture). I remember the floods which came almost every year. By the way the old American Legion was on the levee back in those days
