Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Quadrantid Meteors through Orion." It was a rainy night on January 4th in Charlotte, but that was not the case in the skies over Slovakia. The meteors appear to originate from the constellation Boötes, which is overhead in this photo. Mouse over the image on the APOD page and you will see a number of labelled features: Orion's Belt, Rigel, Sirius, the California Nebula, and the Pleiades are just a few.
