The Auburn Tigers held up their end of the BIG 12/SEC CHALLENGE by defeating the Iowa State Cyclones 80-76.
UPDATE: the Challenge ended in a tie, with each conference winning five games.

ISU generally has a fairly good basketball team. Too bad my fellow Cyclones can't seem to do the same in football. I'd love to see ISU play at the same level in football as Auburn does.

SFC Melvin Brandenburg, it seems, though, that Matt Campbell has Iowa State’s football program going in the right direction. I remember them sneaking up on Texas Tech and Oklahoma, plus making a few bowl appearances. Auburn and Iowa State have never met on the field of play.
Auburn has had few bright spots in its basketball history (the Charles Barkley era being one of them). Hiring Bruce Pearl was a great thing for Auburn. He got a second chance (some school would’ve hired him anyway) and he took Auburn to the NCAA Final Four last year, beating Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky to get there!
I was going to the game today, but got the flu and had to cancel. My cousin texted me a photo of the court from our seats. I can’t believe I missed the game!
