Language study is an eye opener. My first was Russian. I was late on the first day. I was told to report down the hill
It was raining so hard. I slipped an fell down the then Ho chi minh trail. I got to class covered in mud. Teacher was mad because I was late and an AF E6 was mad too. Turns out Army classes were on the topside of the Presidio. I received all sorts of address as a PFC that day. I didn't that that was a good day at DLIFLC.

To keep floors so highly polished, we purchased an old blanket, cut it up into large squares and put them on our shoes. BECAUSE - Shinning floors = passes to go to town, and like I said, fresh out of Basic, & at a real mature 17 - and never having been away from a small town in Washington State... I really wanted to go to town. Surprise! They got some Weird People in California - compared to a small town in Washington.
