SCPO Morris Ramsey Have You Seen Any Indication that Trumps Idea will Improve the Status of Palestine as a State?

SCPO Morris Ramsey I Haven't Seen any Indication that Palestinians will be any more than Second Class Citizens of an Occupied State Under the Current US or Israeli Administration.

Just a small adjustment - they are not living in an occupied state. The land was not taken from them by the Israeli's. The land was CEDED to them (rightly or wrongly) by the UN who were pushed to do it by the USA. Why cold weather climate European Jews would want to move to the desert is hilarious. "And hey - while I'm there, surround me with people who hate me..." Right? The land was taken from the varied people's who lived there. America was hell bent on destroying all of its economic competition and that meant that the British, French, Dutch and other empires had to go. Smart thing (if that's really your goal...) would have been to allow the British to atrophy themselves turning the lights out on their own.

Britain was actually in the process of partitioning the area and had even agreed to police it just to make sure that everyone learned how to get along. The British had already killed masses of people on both sides (Jew and Arab) so the British didn't have to spend valuable time convincing both sides that it meant business. Britain's timetable would have had Britain pulling out fully in 1950. But sadly - Team America with it's world building - wanted the British Empire defunct as soon as possible. And Britain - being older and wiser - told America to fuck off "and police it yourselves." We then ended up having to go in and separate two warring factions who had way more guns than the British told us they had... Oops.

The British partitionings of their Asian areas and most of their African areas involved many safeguards to ensure that Britain didn't get a bad name. So visa's were given and folks handsomely rewarded for resettlings. No one was to be harmed. Because that's not how it works, eh? So had Britain been left to its own devices, the Palestinians would have been relocated.

Creating a "home" for the Palestinians has never been a problem. Tons of nations volunteered land to their cause. The issue is that the Palestinians do not want anything other than the land that constitutes present day Israel. So while giving them a place to hang their hat and call "home" is always doable, it will never work as enemies of Israel will talk the new land/nation/country into taking an aggressive stance/action against Israel ann then the Israeli's will bomb it, attack it, steamroller it and then we'll be back to square 906 again.

The UN/UK/USA created the clusterfuck. So the ideal solution would be to settle the Palestinians in Utah (religious zealots and hot weather... LOL) or an empty chunk of Nevada. This way, they will be far enough out of the Middle East to be no burden. Why us? We created the clusterfuck by creating the UN and making the UN force the UK to abandon the land. The UK doesn't have space for them.
