Tragically I'm not sure we ever will. Six months after arriving at my first duty station we had a base commander commit suicide and I don't think I've gone six months without seeing another since then.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - I just reviewed the statistics from 2003 on and the numbers are staggering and many of these airmen were in important technology fields...and were younger airmen... Perhaps it is the era in which they grew up... i.e.; Millennials... I won't delve into that any further... It is sad tragic situation that must be addressed and eliminated...

Yes when you review data on social media use and the younger people vs suicide the results are astonishing. Social media use is not good for our young people. These young people grow up damaged.
