Nature has been bioengineering children for Eons. All Science is doing is speeding things up...and just like Nature...ignoring the Ethical concerns. I watched a documentary about trying to find a way to restore youth. In a lab at Harvard, they have turned skin cells into STEM cells, and then turned those cells into miniature small neuronal clusters (small brains!) that you could see floating in a nutrient bath inside a petri dish. And if that is what they are showing us, the General Public, how much further along is the real work?

Of course evolution is slow and doesn't always work, because if I am the end result of millions of years of trial and error, the epitome of Life so far...we have a long way to go! LOL

There is one problem with the speed of bio-engineering. It take decades or centuries for human physiology to adapt. The changes being made now don't give the human body time to adapt. It's probably going to be decades down the road, but there will be a study that says, they changed things too rapidly and it's caused [these] issues over time.

Cpl (Join to see) - Hey Kirk, I remember a long time ago watching a TED talk by a guy named Neil Harbison...and it was titled: "The man who hears color." He is a true cyborg. They put a microchip in his brain because he was so color blind, he couldn't read ...black and white are colors.

So he had this thing put in his brain. After a few years, that chip and the brain found a way to work together...and he can hear color. And he can recognize some two million shades. I hope this link thing works...here you go!
