LTC Lee Bouchard - Self made? Are you crazy? Do you have any idea how much money his father fronted him? How many businesses he drove into bankruptcy? The only thing he has been successful at is conning the gullible.

Yes, his dad did. And look what did with that money. If you had been given as much, would you still have penny of t left? I seriously doubt you would much less use it as well as he did.

LTC Lee Bouchard - Does Trump still have a penny of it left? How do you know for sure? Because he told you he did? Do you know how debt works, especially with the amount of debt Trump carries? Riddle me this, if Trump is so solvent, why wouldn't any U.S. banks extend him credit?

LTC Lee Bouchard - LTC Lee Bouchard, you said Donald Trump is, “...a self made and successful billionaire...” and “Yes, his dad did (give Donald Trump a lot of money).” You’re going to have to choose one or the other. Either DT is a self made billionaire, or he was born with an entire, solid-silver place sitting for four stuck in his mouth. You have to choose one or the other. You can’t have it both ways.

While you’re pondering your choice, consider the following...

By the time Trump graduated from college in 1968, he was receiving the 2019 equivalent of $1,000,000 a year in untaxed gifts from his father.

“Trump Engaged in Suspect Tax Schemes as He Reaped Riches From His Father”
Oct. 2, 2018

“Mr. Trump received the equivalent today of at least $413 million from his father’s real estate empire, starting when he was a toddler and continuing to this day.”

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/10/02/us/politics/donald-trump-tax-schemes-fred-trump.html

People like us have absolutely no comprehension of the riches DT had at his disposal from before he was able to walk. And he didn’t “earn” a penny of it. Without lifting a finger, he gets $1,000,000/yr. from the trusts and investments his father, Fred Trump, set up before his death.

It is maybe worth noting that Fred Trump DID work to earn his money. He benefited greatly from the building boom following the end of WW2. Returning GIs had money. The US Gov’t. gave them more money to build homes for themselves and the families they were starting. It was a good time to be a builder in America.

Home builders made good money. Good home builders made better money. And good, smart home builders made a lot of money. There were a few good, smart home builders who had a long range vision and the smarts (and luck) to make it work. They got really, really rich. Fred Trump fit in that last category.

So, to the question.....
Is DT a self-made billionaire, or, the recipient of a lot of money that he didn’t earn?

So Trump, at the urging of the WHO and the State Department sends 17.8 tons of PPE to China. Had he refused the request he would be a racist and a xenophobe for denying humanitarian relief. Because he sent it, he is incompetent. Is that about how it works? The supplies were contributed by relief organizations and companies specifically to send to China.

So, 17.8 tons of PPE is about 36,000 lbs. A single Boeing 777 can carry about 225,000 lbs. of cargo. So this is the rough equivalent of 16% of the capacity of one triple 7. Do you feel duped yet for getting caught up in this story of the "massive" shipment of PPE to China?

This is how it works in TDS land:

Trump stops travel from China on January 31 due to virus outbreak: Trump is called a racist and xenophobe by the media and democrats. Keep in mind that on January 14th the WHO and China still claimed there were no human to human transmissions (a now obvious lie).

Trump sends 17.8 tons of donated humanitarian aid to China on Feb 7th, the epicenter of the virus and he is incompetent. Had he not done it he would have been a racist. Do you see why the media is so disliked?

MSgt Steve Sweeney - It is the WHO's job to be there to get the evidence and not accept talking points from a regime known for suppressing the truth, killing dissidents, expelling foreign journalists and lying to the world. Accepting anything from the Chinese government and repeating it as a medically accurate statement under the UN banner is pure foolishness.

Repeating statements of a totalitarian regime is evidence of being in the hip pocket. WHO refusing to acknowledge Taiwan as a sovereign nation is being in the hip pocket of China. I know you would need a ton of bricks to land on you before you would see any of this.

I think even now WHO knows they were duped but he Chinese and used and manipulated. The timeline is clear and information is getting out. WHO is on the ground in China and should have known but did not. China has even been tossing out American journalists trying to tell the whole story.

I didn't call Trump a racist for shutting off travel from China dipshit. That was your crowd. They don't understand the word race. Chinese/China is not a race but how many times has Trump been called a racist for calling it the "Chinese virus"? A bunch, by moronic sycophants in the press, your cousins.

I don't blame WHO for the virus, that clearly lands in China's camp. They were duped and used to transmit false info to the world. Info they should have tested and verified before given China the cover of the UN logo. Another reason the UN is worthless.

There you go back to the homoerotic comments. It sounds like to get to your E8 you probably had to suck off quite a few seniors. You clearly didn't get there with any leadership skills, critical thinking skills etc. Usually people that think other do that are the ones with the experience. Just because you bob on the knob doesn't mean we all do. You clearly did not suck well enough, never made the E9. You apparently cannot even do that very well among many other things.

Cpl Jeff N. - Consider this word experiment.

--You take a math test at school. One of the more difficult questions (6 + 4 = ?) has you momentarily stumped. (You're going to have to use your imagination for this.) With a flash of inspiration, you cautiously count your fingers and get the answer... 10...! Huzzah! You write down the answer and turn in the test.

The next day the teacher returns the test to everyone. Your paper has a big red 'F' on it with the answer "10" circled in red. When you ask the teacher why, she tells you that your answer is the same as the big dumb galoot who sits next to you. The fact that you got the same answer as his is proof that you cheated.--

Do you see the fallacy in what your saying? At the time the WHO said they had "No clear evidence of h2h infection." they said that because it was true. They hadn't been to China to do any interviewing or testing or fact finding or collecting samples or the 101 other things that scientists do to reach a conclusion about something. They couldn't do those 101 things because China wouldn't let them in! The fact that China said the same thing is no 'proof' that the WHO was "in their pocket", any more than the fact that you got the same answer as the big, dumb galoot got on the test is proof that you cheated.

If you have evidence to support the claim that the WHO is in China's hip pocket please share it. I, for one, will pay attention to it. This example is not it, though.

Sgt Bob Leonard - Your example is nonsensical, not even remotely a good analogy or related to what happened.

The WHO repeated what the Chinese government told them on January 14th.

There is a ton of evidence the Chinese knew there was human to human transmission before then. The World HEALTH organization's role is not to parrot lines but to validate so the world gets the correct story. The WHO also refuses to acknowledge Taiwan which is another thing the Chinese government refuses to do. Most of the rest of the world acknowledges Taiwan. Why doesn't WHO, because the Chinese do not

The WHO, had they looked would have found plenty of evidence of human to human transmission. The Chinese admitted only days later on January 20th there was human to human transmission. Chinese doctors were squelched and had the WHO been in the hospitals they might have learned that. We (the US) fund the vast majority of the WHO budget through the UN. The WHO failed, the Chinese lied and people are dying every single day.

Cpl Jeff N. You said, “The WHO repeated what the Chinese told them on January 14.”

Or maybe...

The said they had no evidence of h2h transmission at that time because: they had no evidence of h2h transmission at that time.

And the reason they had no evidence of h2h transmission is because China had locked down their borders and WHO could not go in to check.

Pay close attention now. Having no evidence of h2h transmission does not mean h2h transmission does not happen. It means they have no evidence of it. And the reason they have no evidence of it is because they couldn’t get into China at that time to check.

Do you want them to say that there IS evidence of h2h transmission when they haven’t checked yet?

You said the WHO’s role is to validate. When China won’t let them in to investigate, how do you propose that they validate? Reading tea leaves, maybe?

You said, “The WHO, had they looked, would have found plenty of evidence...”. But they DIDN’T look did they? WHY didn’t they look, Because China wouldn’t LET them look.

You said, “Most of the... world acknowledges Taiwan.”

That’s simply not true. Of the 193 member nations of the UN, only 17 of them acknowledge Taiwan as a separate entity from China. The United States isn’t one of them.

U. S. - Taiwan Relations

“The 1979 U.S.-P.R.C. Joint Communique switched diplomatic recognition from Taipei to Beijing. In the Joint Communique, the United States recognized the Government of the People’s Republic of China as the sole legal government of China, acknowledging the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China.”
