Reopen the country? That's crazy talk. Just keep printing money, then print some more, and some more, and some more... What? Me worry...

SPC Robert Conway - Here's your number. Whatever the death toll was from flu and pneumonia last year, use that number.

Your whole argument seems to gloss over the fact that the lock-down is also resulting in deaths. But apparently those deaths don't matter to you. Suicides, addictions, overdoses, are up, and it's only going to get worse as people's loss of jobs, businesses, and income, go from being temporary to being permanent. Even the health care system is being negatively affected. This obsession with the Wuhan virus means in many places cancer patients aren't getting treatment, cancer screenings are not even happening, joint replacements are being postponed, etc. Small practices are going under, hospital staff is getting furloughed, etc.

The curve HAS been flattened. They whole point of even trying to flatten the curve wasn't to keep people from dying (laudable though that goal is), it was to keep the health care system from being overwhelmed. Far from being overwhelmed, much of it is now under threat of being starved out. And if allowed to continue, THAT is going to result in many more deaths. So how many of those types of deaths are acceptable to you? Seriously, give me a number of acceptable dead people to give us a 'good flat curve' again.

SSgt Christopher Brose - 34,200 dead from the flu in a 2019 flu season, with reasonable treatment methods and vaccinations in place. We are, RIGHT NOW, more than double that, with no vaccine or effective treatment, OTHER THAN SHELTER IN PLACE.

I will say it again, there is no flattening of the curve for most of the country. If you remove New York, New Orleans and Detroit, three places that had HUGE outbreaks and are flattening their rates and getting it under control, EVERYWHERE ELSE is still on the rise. and it will get worse with people out again.

There is an effective treatment. But you go ahead and hibernate while the rest of us resume something of a normal life.

PVT James Strait - and yet in this case other countries took actions that Trump refused to take, and those countries had much better results.

He exhibits no empathy nor compassion for anyone else and is a clear and present danger to all others. This is predictable based on his severe disordered personality. See the Dangerous Case of Donald J Trump by Bandy Lee and 27 clinical colleagues. I concur 100% based on my own research dating back to his adolescence.
