It is from the Ashanti tribe in Africa. Google it and find that the Ashanti tribe felt in slavery. They would raid other villages and take the men and sell them into slavery.
So that are wearing articles of clothing dealing with a tribe and slavery but they are offered by a confederate statue. I am confused and they must be also.
