The three hours you spend watching "Pearl Harbor" are three hours you can never get back.
The Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor is one of the most defining events in American history. Carried out by 408 Japanese bombers just off the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, it turned the U.S. Pacific Fleet into a watery graveyard for hundreds of unsuspecting soldiers, sailors, and Marines. The story is one that should be told because it’s one that should never be forgotten. But Michael Bay’s 2001 film about the tragic events of that day failed to do it justice. Not only did the movie neglect to provide any real historical context, but the attack itself served more or less as a backdrop for a love story that wasn’t compelling enough to make up for the fact that it was fraught with inaccuracies.

My ship was the backdrop for the movie premiere which was on the Stennis. Didn't like the movie at all. An ARMY love story with the attack playing 2nd fiddle.

It wasn't a horrible movie but as a Sailor I believe the Pearl Harbor attack shouldn't be 2nd fiddle to anything.

"Tora, Tora, Tora" is a far better movie. Hollywood has always sacrificed military accuracy for unnecessary drama and explosions. The show "The Last Ship" is probably one of the worst portrayals of the Navy.

Isn't Tora, Tora, Tora, more about the Japanese Air Force and military side of their attack?

Ben Affleck should have been listed first instead of second. And really, the list could have stopped there.

SGT (Join to see) - I have never been a fan of Affleck. His acting is horrible at best. His ego and attitude shine thru every character I have ever seen him portray. And the more a*shole of a character he plays, it seems that is how he truly is....as he can channel the a*shole quite well. His delivery of lines.....ugh......hurts my head just to hear him talk. Not to mention he single handed destroyed the Daredevil character.

Thanks for answering my question MSG (Join to see). I think I saw him in an interview two days ago and he got pissed at a question and cussed out the emcee, and almost every word was an F bomb.
