I don't see why. They are now private citizens.

The public probably perceives them as using their military service for political reasons when they're not supposed to

They don't see us as retired, especially senior officers. They should stay out of politics and endorsements as much as possible

It really cheapens their rank and respect that people give them by shooting politics from the side of their mouth
