1. Trump didn't reopen Florida, Gov DeSantis did.
2. Death rate in Florida per 100k - 16.2, a fraction of the overall US average of 44.
Just for fun, some other places in terms of deaths per 100k:
Texas - 8.4
New York (state) - 77.8
New York City - 275
District of Columbia - 78.4
New Jersey - 168.3
Oklahoma (where the Trump Rally apocalypse was upon us) - 10.2
Arizona (Trump apocalypse part II) - 22.1
Massachusetts - 117.3

Capt Gregory Prickett - More than double the people that have died in Florida (2040) than have died in New York in just nursing homes (4500 and counting) thanks largely to Cuomo's dumb ass order to force nursing homes to accept covid positive patients. That disaster is squarely on that dipshit.

Just giving a little perspective. Let me know if Florida catches up.

1SG (Join to see) - Top, stay focused on what we are talking about, not rabbit trails. The subject of this thread is what happens when GOP governors don't have the cajoñes to stand up to Trump and to do what the data shows them to do. There are then unnecessary infections and deaths. It's really that simple, despite the fact that you try to negate a massive upsurge as a mere 'uptick'.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Florida made adjustments to bars, restaurants and beaches due to an increase in positive cases. The premise you presented did not articulate whether Republican governors had "cojones" to stand up to Trump; it clearly and unequivically said "Trump is killing Florida" to which I reply, BULLSHIT.
Your "massive upsurge" pales in comparison to what we've seen elsewhere.
It is not a rabbit trail to point out facts.
