News like this keeps indicating to me the economy wants to surge again and would do so if not for COVID-19. With a competent response we likely would be back to a gangbusters economy. But unfortunately our response wasn't competent and in this Trump has been his own worst enemy when it came to the economy. It is not good to show exactly how incompetent you are and how unable you are to raise to the challenge of the day in an election year.

I don’t disagree that the entire response to Covid was botched, but as bad as it was I think Biden’s response would have been worse. He was against shutting down travel, has always been soft on China and any recommendations from the left came weeks after they were already enacted by the administration. Trumps problem is his need to tweet and be front and center in any conversation. Right now I am waiting to see how badly the economy tanks if Biden gets elected, and it will tank. He has already said he is rolling back the tax cuts, raising the corporate tax rates, and reinstating the regulations that helped fuel hiring. Add open borders, the bolstering Obama care and the associated penalties and we will be in for a very bumpy ride.

Cpl Jim Schmitt - There certainly are better out there. Having said that, the choice in this election in some ways is like the last. Not my first choice candidate vs. crazy town, racist, puts his own interests before the interests of the country, etc candidate. It’s not really a choice.

SPC Kevin Ford You are right, it’s not really a choice for me either. I will be voting on the issues. We are currently living through what a democrat administration will be like, riots every time the extreme left does not get their way. Recent protests started with George Floyd and everyone agreed that something needed to be done about police reform. Police reform that democrats walked away from rather than work with republicans. Protests turned into riots and George Floyd and police reform were lost when the left went crazy. I want law enforcement, I want secure borders, I like lower taxes and less governmental regulation, energy independence, fair trade deals and low unemployment. All the things I like the left is either saying they are getting rid of or that there policies will destroy. The next presidential term is going to be a long 4 years. One thing for sure, no matter who wins one of us is going to be unhappy.
Also, watch carefully who Joe appoints as his VP, they will most likely finish his term as President he after is declared incompetent.
