Be careful with more automation. Tanks need to be simple to fix.

What are the 3 positions? Gunner, driver, TC? Do computers have the brain power to replace a human? From my days of being a Tank Commander on M1s, I was the focal point for fire commands, giving exact directions to the driver, telling the loader what kind of rounds to use. Thus I would imagine the TC is indispensable. The gunner has to constantly scan for targets and use various weapons. I would guess the driver will be the most expendable. The TC can tell a computer exact driving directions.

They can, especially if they’re AI driven. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if manufacturers are working on a crewless tank driven autonomously right now.
