She should try to be me for a day and find I'm only popular among tele-marketers. I can walk around public and retail spaces for hours, totally ignored except by the guys on the phone worried about my insurance and whether I have a Life Alert bracelet.

1SG Steven Imerman Right? This is undoubtedly racially-fueled rhetoric on her part; she could’ve been greater than that.

As a "white" male who has lived in at least a dozen countries and visited over 80 so far I am trying to figure out the point of the message. Is it just to stir more racial tension? Is it a cry for adoration? All I know is no matter where in the world I am it seems like people don't notice me. They can talk over/around me as if I were not there.

So, in my pitifully small opinion I just say "Welcome to being human Michelle. Welcome to being human."

Martha's Vineyard isn't that big. If Mrs. Obama doesn't like hanging around White people, why did the Obama's buy a $12mil house on an island that has 85% White?
