MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. Lt Col Charlie Brown This may be a naive question but how could a Commander be responsible for every bad incident regarding the people assigned to his Base? Every soldier lives their own lives and sins of their own volition.

I believe that they are referring to the command climate, which he is responsible for.

Left on the side of 190 waiting on his dad to pick him up? Leaders pride themselves in taking care of people, not tossing them to the side of the road the moment they aren’t Soldiers anymore.
I wonder if you’ve been stationed on Hood for the last 10 months and know first hand what was done during these situations? I have.
I would transfer anywhere in the world to work with MG Efflandt again. Period. And many here feel the same.
Boots on Hood know this, we don’t have only the media to guide us in our opinion forming.
One indicator of command climate is retention. Ft Hood enjoys above average highest stabilization rates; while also accomplishing near the highest retention rates of any FC installation.
