Hello Everyone – COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs reaching out to you from the Eagle’s Nest – I’d like to invite you to Saturday evening Warriors for Life (WFL) Virtual Group Support Community Services this Saturday, 5 September 2020 with the “Colonel” hosting!
Saturday’s Topic: "Self-Mastery”
Self-Mastery is the ability to recognize, understand, control, and make the most of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual self. It is gained through awareness, understanding, and control over your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Essentially, it gives you control over the one thing you can control in any given situation: yourself.
Self-Mastery over you own thoughts, emotions, words, and actions can change and transform your life and yourself. When negative thoughts arise, emotions can become unsettled and your resulting actions can have negative consequences. With it will also help you control your emotional impulses and allow you to make decisions based on rational thinking instead of heightened emotions.

I have been learning to focus my mind since I've learned I had ADHD.
My daughter's have ADHD and I had to help them learn to focus the mind.
It's hard to focus and teach your child to focus as well.
The hardest part is focusing your mind on the tasks at hand, such as children, work, household, and much more. Then you also focus your mind, heart, soul, & strength on the Lord. Ensuring your number one focus is showing the Lord and His love, actions and beauty in all you do, say, and be, that all you meet will see the Christ in you. In all I do and hopefully say.
The mind is a great obstacle to overcome boredom, sleepyness, friends, tv, and more that gets in the way of mastering your mind.
