Celebrity envy? It seems that Elon Musk is sucking all the air out of the celebrity space. He's actually spending his wealth to accomplish something while Big Bucks people like Bill Gates are wasting theirs on pipe dreams like battling Climate Change. (Instead of battling it, they should focus on coping with it, but their arrogance gets in the way. They actually think we mere mortals are causing and can uncause it.) In case you didn't know, here's how Billy won his riches. Daddy gave him the opening to produce an operating system for IBM's first personal computer. Sadly, the idiots at IBM didn't write the contract very well and Billy used their funding to create a product that he could sell anywhere and sell it he did. Just change labels and POC-DOS became MS-DOS, Toshiba-DOS, et al. Then he built Microsoft into a software behemoth by gobbling up any competition that had the temerity to invade his space.
