I was an elementary school teacher for 10 years. One of the changes I have seen, that I do not like, is the fact that parents aren't allowed to "sit in" during instruction time. I remember being allowed to sit in the back of the classroom, (quietly to observe) when my oldest daughter was in class. I could observe what was being taught. Several times, I "snuck" parents in so they could see what I was teaching. I looked forward to the feedback. Now you can't go in, so you don't know what the teacher is teaching.
