I wouldn’t mind be recalled back to A/D for about a year (and do some desk admin job or brew coffee... and on jump status of course) just to officially wear the uniform.

Spiffy. Meanwhile I’ve still yet to be able to find a set of the hot weather combat uniform in my sizes at any base I’ve been to and I think having a cooler actual field uniform would be much more important than a service uniform, but hey to each their own.
I just bought the previous service uniform in May for a DA photo and BOLC and then boom no graduation and service uniform at BOLC due to covid. Then DA photos were removed from promotion packets. So now I am a reservist who spent almost $800 on a spiffy service uniform I’ll be lucky to ever wear in the reserves. Good thing the wear date is through 2028. Maybe if I go on active duty I’ll buy the new greens, but that’s probably going to be the only way I purchase them before 2028.
