With US mortality rates way down, and people starting to get vaccinated by the new year, I kind of doubt need to worry about anything.

1. Mortality rates are only one part of issue. Other issues include limited ICU space and survivors with disabilities after recovery
2. Vaccination will take time. It requires delicate approval based on accelerated testing and supply chain for distribution will take time to build

LTC Eugene Chu - Nice to see the news is finally catching up (a day late and a dollar short in my opinion). Many of us always said the only useful metric is available hospital space. For flare ups additional capacity needs to be planned for, for a national emergency it’s not difficult to do, as we have been. I so dislike people and/or organizations who try to scare others with raw numbers that have no context.
