There is no consistency across the board for federal elections. Penn allows ballots to be counted if they arrive up to three and four days after the election. Anyone can put a ballot in the mail the night of an election or the next day and make that timeline...standards should be the same across the board.

Must be postmarked or hand delivered by 5 PM on Election Day. Facts matter.

SFC Thomas Foreman - My thing is that they were still accepting ballots after the fact up to seven days. If they were mailed from overseas they would make it in three. Are they checking the postmarked dates? Or are they just allowing everything that comes in up to those seven days count? Did they segregate those from the others? Answers that would be nice to know.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth not in PA. Cutoff was 5PM Friday. I believe overseas and military ballots in Pennsylvania have a separate section in the law that allows for a longer wait time but I can’t recall the specifics. It seems highly unlikely that even throwing out every ballot in PA that was received after Election Day would flip the state though. The biggest estimates I can find are 10k *maybe* and Biden is up by 45k last time I looked.

And yes, in accordance with Justice Alito’s order all late-arriving ballots were counted then segregated for future court review. Also segregated were ballots that were identified to be “cured” whereby voters were notified that there was an administrative error on their ballot and given the opportunity to correct it.

LTC David Brown State Supreme Court ruled that the extension was a reasonable accommodation based on emergency conditions and lessons learned during the primary vote when thousands of ballots were not revived in time. The US Supreme Court split on the review so the state court decision stands.

If we don't support an Constitutional Amendment to take control of the voting process, we will forever be subject to the whims of "our betters". Vote in person. Show an ID. Dip your thumb in the purple ink pot. Oh, and let's address "Gerrymandering" while we're at it. Every state is clearly divided into counties/parishes, cities and townships. There is no need for election districts.
