Republican Governors Around the Country Are Failing as Badly as the President* Did

In Texas, South Dakota, and beyond, the COVID-19 situation is deteriorating.

One million people in Texas have contracted COVID-19. One. Million. People.

They are running out of hospital beds. They are running out of room in their morgues. They are running out of room in the refrigeration trucks. They are shipping bodies around the state because the funeral homes are swamped. And, in El Paso, with all this, a group of restaurateurs is suing a local judge for "exceeding his authority" in ordering a county-wide shutdown. The attorney general of the state of Texas has joined that lawsuit.

Rounding out the top five, just for the heck of it:
1. Texas 1,010,364 cases
2. California 991,162
3. Florida 852,174
4. New York 536,145
5. Illinois 511,183

So, Hooah, looks like this ain't exactly a Red State Problem.
But there is a pattern... all of those states have in common that they are dominated by big blue urban centers.
Get real, man. The actual reason these states have high stats is that they have a lot of people stacked in top of each other, with a secondary vector due to the presence of one or more major transportation hubs.

Further, I would point out that such statistics were largely ignored by the left for most of the course of this pandemic until they could point to a red state and say "SEE!, Their policies are failing".
It wasn't that long ago that we were being told that the health care system in NY and NJ and New Orleans were going to collapse under the weight of Covid cases. No doubt, there will be an outpouring of federal resources to combat the problem, just like there was elsewhere.

our Gov. Is doing an excellent job as far as I'm concerned and no amount of ragging is going to cure this. Maybe the vacination will help, but people have to be aware of the situation and protect themselves.
