I'd like to caveat males are victims of domestic violence as well - that's something people tend to leave out when issuing out stats. I know there aren't a lot of stats on male victims as they are not likely to report but they can be victims as well.
But yes - it always feels like Trump supporters relationship to Trump is similar to being in an abusive relationship. It's ok to leave - you'll have support when you do.

Why do you think so many people voted for Trump. For many, like me, he was not someone who was personally likeable. He was however; the candidate that was most likely to follow through with his campaign promises and get rid of most of Obama's policies.
If you don't think Democrats view themselves as victims, try reading the headline of left wing news magazine Salon again "America is attempting to exit an abusive relationship".
If this isn't your feelings, choose better source material.
I guarantee you the vast majority of Republicans don't feel that way.

The only one who ever cared if Obama's skin was black, was liberals. It is highly likely that if his skin color reflected his mother's rather than his father, Democrats would never have voted for him
