Yes. Admiral Yamamoto was prescient as he was deeply concerned about the US industrial capacity. The US built 12,700 B-17s and had. 27 aircraft carriers to 1 Japanese by the end of the war.

The hearing loss was likely dramatic with that many of the air hammers running at the same time and in such close proximity. Amazing and dramatic assembly work for the war effort.
