How Republicans Are Warping Reality Around the Capitol Attack

Loyalists to President Trump are increasingly relying on conspiracy theories and misinformation, drawing false equivalence with last summer’s racial protests and blaming outside agitators.

(Say, isn't that kinda the same kind of con being used by Useful Idiots in RP?)

Please... Look at the transcripts of President Trump's speech at the "Stop the Steal" Protest that day. Then show me the ***quote*** or ***clip*** where President Trump incited the people to violence. He specifically stated that they should be peaceful. But I stand ready to condemn him as soon as someone shows me the inciteful words where he encourages them to break the law and/or engage in violence.

If you cannot do that, then I will settle for criminal prosecution of every DNC elected official who stood with and encouraged protests for all of the political violence that occurred in dozens of cities across America, with words far more inciteful than anything President trump said. Let's start in Chicago, where Mayor Lori Lightfoot marched, flanked by tax payer paid security chanting "No justice! No Peace!" That night rioters and looters did millions of dollars worth of damage and scores of people including police and innocent by-standers were injured and hospitalized. She delivered "No Peace."

Until your demands for justice are equal and proportionate... all I see is ham-handed justifications for political vengeance and contempt for the political opinion of almost half of the voters. I don't believe you and your political allies are looking for unity or compromise. I see you with a nasty smirk saying "elections have consequences," knowing that your consequences are vicious vengeance.

Maj John Bell - No no. You confuse disdain for accountability. Like I said, everything that Donald and his surrogates said, tweeted, and supported were fuel for the fire that led to the invasion of our Capitol. What you're trying to do is isolate one instance while ignoring the months of the lies and rhetoric that led to its inevitable conclusion

SSG Michael Hartsfield - So you think I need to be held accountable? What price should I pay for my sins against society?

And you still have not dealt with the other question. Where is your interest on your part for holding those elected officials from the Democratic Party that actually meet the elements of criminal incitement.

18 U.S. Code § 2102. Definitions
(a)As used in this chapter, the term “riot” means a public disturbance involving (1) an act or acts of violence by one or more persons part of an assemblage of three or more persons, which act or acts shall constitute a clear and present danger of, or shall result in, damage or injury to the property of any other person or to the person of any other individual or (2) a threat or threats of the commission of an act or acts of violence by one or more persons part of an assemblage of three or more persons having, individually or collectively, the ability of immediate execution of such threat or threats, where the performance of the threatened act or acts of violence would constitute a clear and present danger of, or would result in, damage or injury to the property of any other person or to the person of any other individual.

(b)As used in this chapter, the term “to incite a riot”, or “to organize, promote, encourage, participate in, or carry on a riot”, includes, but is not limited to, urging or instigating other persons to riot, but shall not be deemed to mean the mere oral or written (1) advocacy of ideas or (2) expression of belief, not involving advocacy of any act or acts of violence or assertion of the rightness of, or the right to commit, any such act or acts.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - So it appears that you don't understand what the words "disdain" or "accountability" mean.

And you still have not dealt with the other question. Why not?

Where is your interest on your part for holding those elected officials from the Democratic Party that actually meet the elements of criminal incitement.
