I think it is a matter of intent. If the intent is to use terror to incite political change, it is terrorism and for those Antifa members arrested during the "trouble" I believe that case can be made. If the intent is to protest and the violence grew out of that, then it's a matter of unlawful assembly and riot. Proving intent is tricky business...

It seems the Gregory Prickett is at it again. Though many of the rioters who overran the capital building were self identified as Trump Supporters, they are renounced (if only tacitly) by the thousands of others that were there and the millions of conservatives that supported Trump who were not violent.
These idiots who did plan (before Trumps rally/speech) the attack on the capital should be punished within our laws. I will stand with anyone who wishes to make sure folks like this do not again...I wonder why we are not also wanting the rioters over the last almost year now, who attack other Federal and State buildings/staff, to be punished.
The Left and Democrats are not innocent of calls for and incitement to violence.

Wow, not surprised to see the completely debunked and absolutely batshit-crazy conspiracy theory that Antifa sparked the riot. It was Trump, from the day the election was (correctly and accurately) called with his outright lies about non-existent fraud, to its conclusion with that disgusting rally just down the street on January 6.

The violent attackers planned their actions well before the rally and speech. He told folks to go peacefully...announced that his administration would focus on transitioning the new administration in...and more.
The fact that the court cases were thrown out for "lack of standing" does not mean that there is no evidence of fraud. The argument is whether it could have changed the election. Well with more anomalies, illegal actions by several states, videos of fraudulent activities, thousands of legal affidavits, and scads of anecdotal evidence, it should have been looked at, but we are past that now. We must ensure these conditions do not exist for the next election.
