NASA was founded via the efforts of President Dwight D Eisenhower and after Congressional hearings during spring 1958, Congress passed the legislation and President Eisenhower signed the National Aeronautics and Space Act into law on July 29, 1958.

It would seem like these two are unlikely partners, but since SPACEX has grown, NASA has become more tightly knit with SPACEX... and vice versa... This VIdeo will relate the foundings, goals and how the symbiotic relationship is going...

I'm still partial to the Space Shuttle. I love watching those launches. Zero to 18000 mph in three minutes. So cool!

What I liked about the shuttle is that it could land like a regular plane instead of a parachute landing back in the ocean!

Great video and a relationship that is necessary. All these private companies need launch facilities and those are at NASA facilities.

Sgt (Join to see) Oh I think it will, it's beneficial for both parties. It was a while ago but I remember an article, I think in Air Force Magazine, that talked about the profits NASA was getting from renting/long term leasing of facilities to lots of private companies, not just SpaceX.
