SpaceX Starship SN9 soars in test flight, has explosive landing

I just watched the Test launch and landing of SpaceX's SN9 Starship... It's readiness and countdown were perfect and there was an elegant lift off and ascension to 10 Kilometers, the first rocket engine ignited as planned and the Starship leaned over into its Belly Flop manuever and was a perfectly sequenced move... It proceeded to return to Earth for landing but as its first Raptor engine ignited, the 2nd one did not, it nosed over and there was a hard landing. Something in the 2nd Raptor engine did not function as intended... It was a test, and I would say that the test was about 90% perfect... I am sure SpaceX will analyze their data and determine what failed... S10 is ready on the Launch Pad... Watch, Full Screen with sound moderate... It's loud at lift off...

It literally is rocket science. I am confident these folks will figure out what went wrong. Non the less impressive though.

Absolutely, SP5 (Join to see) that's what a testing phase is all about... We just want it to be perfect right at the get go... LOL!

If I remember correctly, they weren't very good the 1st couple of times landing the 1st stage rockets, either. They pretty much have that down now, I ma sure they will get this fixed, too. You can also learn a lot in failure !

Yes, LT Brad McInnis - We all have to remember that they are testing to iron out the bugs... SpaceX will figure it out, I am sure and their Starship will become reliable...
