The Truth Why Everyone is Suddenly Getting Offended

Back in the day when I was blogging on my own website regularly, I devised the theory that the best way to start a conversation was to ask a question. Questions invite responses, don't they? Indeed, on of my favorite features of RallyPoint is that it provides a specific function "? Ask question".

Recently, I was surprised to find that someone was offended by a question asked on RallyPoint. Honestly, his response surprised me. Well, more honestly, it offended me. No, I don't expect you to be offended as I was, nor do I expect you to join me in a mass protest. It's my problem, not yours or even theirs.

Sadly, there will be those who are offended by the image that appears introducing this video or the use of the term "Snowflake". For those of us who have lived with snow, who have delighted in the beauty of each and every snowflake, and are well aware of their delicate nature, we are surprised at the natural metaphor that exists between snowflakes and persons who are easily and frequently offended. Imagine my surprise when I had family relationships and friendships torn asunder by my use of this metaphor. But, as the narrator opines in this video, that is their problem and I refuse to make it mine.
