Lets be real here. Texas is having a once in a century cold spell that their infrastructure was not designed for as it has never occurred like this before. Where every year California has a electrical distribution problem from lack of generation, to infrastructure that has been in dire need of repairs and upgrades over the last few decades. Let's remember most of the major fires in California were from downed lines. Now when the wind picks up, everyone in the area looses their power.
